Who We Are

Vision Statement

Indiana Chapter of National Children’s Alliance…ensuring that every child in Indiana alleged to be a victim of abuse might benefit from a multidisciplinary team approach to investigations in a safe, child focused environment within a reasonable traveling distance.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Indiana Chapter is to promote the development, growth and continuation of children’s advocacy centers in the Sate of Indiana through education and training, mentoring, collaboration, advocacy, development of resources, and legislation.

 Chapter History

The Indiana Chapter of the National Children’s Alliance was initially formed in 1999 with members from three separate counties.  Currently, the Chapter membership is composed of four Accredited members of National Children's Alliance, eight  Associate members and many professionals from developing centers.

The Indiana Chapter is committed to providing children’s advocacy center services to all Indiana children in need and over 67 counties are being served by children’s advocacy centers on an ongoing basis.  Through contact with professionals who have been trained in the multidisciplinary team approach to forensic interviewing, the Indiana Chapter has a continual opportunity for growth and outreach.

Chapter meetings are ordinarily held in Indianapolis, IN as it is centrally located in the state and allows many members the opportunity to participate in Chapter activities.  Advocacy center directors meet for training and networking, use meetings as a forum to address statewide issues and strategize membership growth.  The opportunity to come together to network and problem solve gives members the ongoing support they need to do the difficult work they are faced with everyday.
